switching from automatic to a manual?

oh i have this other toyota truck that is junk and it has manual trans. My toyota has a automatic trans. Well i wanna put that standard in my truck. Do i really need to know anything that important about switching that manual into my toyota? i know i will have to switch the pedals around and probably cut some more of the floor out. Is there like some electrical stuff i should know about.
