Swamper IROKS

My buddies 36-13.50 IROKS were delivered today and they are huge. We thought the order had gotten mixed up because they looked like 38's or 40's. Most tire company's cheat a couple of inches on their tire sizes. My unmounted 33's measured like 31" you all know what I mean. Well those Irok's measured a little over 37". You deffinitely get your money's worth. I'll let ya'll know how they do offroad and anyone thinking about IROKS should make a mental note of this. They are true 36's....

just that size, IMO anything more than a 38 or so is excessive

wouldn't put that past those guys on pbb

so far, i've heard nothing bad about iroks. supposedly they ride on the street like a radial but excel off road. too bad they don't make them in a 35 or 34

No such thing as too big, at least not for a crawler. Since the only thing that increases ground clearance is larger tires (everything else is to allow larger tires), larger tires = more ground clearance = good. Ten years ago, a 38" tire was considered a show-truck or mud tire. Now, every serious crawler runs 38's or larger. 53" Michelins are now DOT approved and seeing a lot of use, especially in the comps.

<=== 38.5's and I'd like larger.

i didn't like his response where he said "im trying to make a vehicle that can make riding trails easier and faster than walking" whats the fun in that? if your gonna build something like that, you should be doing some EXTREME shi* with it, not "Making trails faster and easier than walking" Get a dirt bike if you want to trail ride fast and easy.

I just got a set of 39.5" IROKs. They make my 37" MTRs look puny.

Can't wait to see if they fit. I have some sawzall work to do.

i just went to our local offroad shop and they let us look at their crawlers and one had 49in iroks and the other had 44in boggers and the iroks dwarfed the boggers. Also my friend told me that those michelens are off military vehicles is this right.
