Stainless roller fairlead

I have always been too cheap to buy a roller fairlead. Recently, a buddy gave me one that had been in a wreck. The rollers, pins, and bushings were still good.

A buddy and I found a piece of stainless c-channel in the shop he works for that they didn't need. It was the perfect candidate for making a new housing for the rollers.

Here is the result. I finally got it on yesterday. It is way heavier than the Warn fairlead and seems like it will work well.

Now I need an ARB to go with the rest of my equipment- definitely my next purchase

It doesn't look as nice as the Warn

I don't think I have ever used a wich with rollers. Will the behavior be that much different?

Is that a Warn Combo kit (winch mount)? I wonder if it would fit an '86? If so, would you want to sell it to help fund your ARB?

Yes, that is the Transformer from Warn. It is still in great shape and when I do get the ARB or build one, I will probably advertise the Warn on this board.
