What are you driving? How do you drive it? Stock IFS has proven itself to be VERY capable. Personally, if I were to ever upgrade, I'd go long travel.

For the price of the Total Chaos long travel setup, you could get a very nicely done SAS, and that alone will give you alot of travel.
However, I wouldn't go launching myself off of any sand dunes with a solid axle, so if you planning on doing any crazy stunts like that, then go Total Chaos.

The TC long travel is far cheaper than doing a SAS "PROPERLY", if you include labor charges, the cost can be 3 times as much.

we're gonna need some more info before we can properly send you in the right direction...
what vehicle? year?
how often do you use it?
what type of terrain do you plan to see?
have you ever broken a CV?

i would go with neither, wheel what you have now and see where it takes you and what setup would make it better, personally, I'm a solid axle guy, they are stronger, less parts to break/wear out, and have awesome flex with the right springs, but it may not be for you, just my 2cents
