I have an 82 4x4 and I am looking into moving the location of the battery. I have a large army surplus radio box, (2 feet by four feet by 2 feet roughly) that i use to store chains etc, bolted into my bed. I am contemplating mounting a marine (boat not soldier) battery box inside my storage box and putting a standard cell battery in there and then using welding ground wire to run under the truck to the starter alternator and acc. I know someone out there has tried this before so any hints would be appreciated.
