Rear lift springs?
I drive an xcab 93 sr5 v6 4x4 pickup, lifted 4" susp. with a pro-comp stage II kit and 2" body.
The rear susp. currently has the 3.5" tapered pro-comp block and a pro comp 13120 add-a-leaf
I currently have an axle-wrap-of-death problem and am deathly afraid soon I am going to snap the pinion off...
I have been looking at rear lift springs recently, skyjacker and NWOR seem to be all I can find. Can someone recommend other manufacturers? What should I expect to pay?
Thanks for any and all help!

all pro. they may be more expensive, and require welding, but will ride better, flex better, and have much less axlewrap. or there are always alcans.
head to your local spring shop, and see what they will fab up for you. they will make it to your needs.

I was sorta leary of the skyjacker thing, they never seemed like a "top of the line" company, when it comes to safety on a road going vehicle, that seems important to me. Anyway, since we are running nearly identical trucks (mechanicaly), did you have an axle wrap issue running the pro comp blocks?
Just curious

since so far, we all seem to be runnin similar trucks, I want to ask a REALLY stupid question, doing the standard jack up the rear, spin the tire and watch the driveshaft, my calculations come out showing a stock gear ratio of somewhere around 4.10, can anyone confirm that?

After I asked, I did a search on the net, then ran out to check my axle code. Sure enough, my 5 speed equipped truck has 4.56 gears... makes 4.88s seem kind of a waste of money...

Well, my truck isn't running THAT good. Up steep hills I can keep it at about 50-55, that also depends on altitude, weather, wind, etc. Going back to my home in Seattle I cross a few passes that are close to the 7,000 ft mark. You definetely notice the difference in power when compaired to sea level.

My situation right now is that I have the room to run 35s, but I wouldn't even try to turn them with the stock gears. I figure 4.88s put me just over stock effective ratio, but with 35s in the near future, I am starting to think something steeper would be wise, maybe 5.17s or even right to 5.29s
5.17s would put me right at stock effective with a 35" tall tire. If I knew the 35s were going on immediately after the gear swap I'd just go right to 5.29s, just afraid of going too drastic and killing the tiny little bit of top end I have.
