First thought, open it back up and look, I bet something is in backwards or is interfering.

You sure the rotor is not hitting on the dust shield which can happen quite easy .

How does the hub spin without the rotor ??

Get the bearing to tight ??

I bought brake kits from NAPA

I now always inventory the kit before leaving the store, and throw nothing away until driving again

Hub put together wrong or the dial just spins and it stays in the locked position.

I never took the hub apart and it was working before I took it off the truck also I have no idea what to look for as far as how it should be

which bolts/studs are you referring to there?

there is no better quality locking hub than what came on the truck... do both sides fail to go into the lock position? doubtful that they are both defective.

Ok so I got most of the problems solved the pass side is together done and working great the drive side is don't all the way to installing the spindle I totally forgot to order a spindle because the drive side one was toast.

Low range has the cromeoly ones for around 100 but I don't need a cromeoly one nor do I want to spend that mush on a spindle is there anywhere that's sells a stock replacement
