Heres the deal with my problem.. Its a 84 xtra cab with 5.29 gears in 4wd amd 2wd in first gear -2nd gear it makes this scraping noise pretty bad especially then doin a lil light 4wheelin or gettin on the gas around town! Its the worse when its in the lowest gears and goes away while you upshift and nuttin at all when your off the gas!!????!? my U joints seem fine they are all greased up and tight? my manuel says it could be the Pinion bearing could this be right if so how could i check? how hard to replace? what about a axle bearing??
