New Downey cable for elocker. Good, bad or ugly?

I`m thinking getting cable from Downey for my elocker. I`m looking for input from owners on upgraded version.
Is it worthed to buy it? How is a quality and functionality now? Thanx.

Dont own one myself, but have not heard good things about them, have heard it is hard to tell when it is fully engaged, and that they can sometimes be 1/2way locked in, and you not know it, and cause damage, most posts I have read say stick with the electric actuators...

Interesting. So basicly it has the same problems like factory setup

I`m interested in "military grade" reliability, I do not use truck daily and live in wet climate with most offroading in the muck and water, not ideal for electrical systems.
I`m looking at mechanical actuator for those reasons, not because I`m trying to cut corners or save money. To many magic boxes in factory setup with those pretty multipin connectors.

What really suprises me is Downey selling crap for all those years....
