More under axle clearence

I have a 98 tacoma with 33's. I was wondering what brand of lift gives the best under axle clearence, or how to get more with out bigger tires or a sas. I want to keep my IFS. Thanks for any info.

I think the only way to increase the under axle lift would be to put bigger tires on....I may be wrong

From the way I see it, the axle is a straight tube that locks to the center of the wheel...there is no way that I can think of that will push it up unless you add bigger tires...On the front IFS maybe...

BTW Welcome to Yotatech..

the only way to get more clearance under the axle is run bigger tires.... IFS usually doesnt like running 35s if you wheel it hard.

basically makes the arms longer which makes your stance wider. I'm pretty sure it adds some lift. It does add wheel travel though

Yah I got the wheel travel part...looks like there is a lot more room between the wheel-well and the tire...I like it

The only way to gain clearance under the rear axle is either to shave the axle, which will give you perhaps another inch, or to put on bigger tires.

IFS system under H1 hummers is pretty cool or axles with portals. IE volvos or unimogs.

it is a nice kit. You pay for it, but they have super fine quality.

ONLY 2 ways to gain clearance under the axles:

tire DIAMETER

-or-

portal type axles

So, taller tires are the only feasible way. Note that I am being very specific, not saying "bigger" tires. You can fit a taller tire if it's narrower.

If you've got 33's under a Taco, you already have some lift on there - gonna need A LOT more details before we can help you:
- Exactly what size tires do you have now?
- What rims? What's the backspacing?
- What lift?
