Milemarker Solenoids

I had a solenoid go out in my E-12000 winch a couple of weeks ago and I am having a hard time finding a replacement without buying the entire solenoid box. I have found solenoids for other winches that are 5 post models, which may work if the 6th post on mine is a ground and on the 5 post you ground the solenoid instead. I don't know enough about them. Does anybody have recommendations on where to look or companies that sell them.. and yes I have contacted milemarker and as always they were worthless.

Really?

Guess there's another reason for me to not look at MM winches...

I was able to get the part through 4wheel parts. I have used my winch on about 7 outings and 3 times something has broke. I would never buy another milemarker.

I went to 4wheel parts to pick up the solenoid and they had the remote switch sitting there. I thought maybe once 4wp would get the right part for me.

4WP informed me that milemarker is only selling the entire solenoid box for $95 WOW.. I found a company that sells a very similar 6 post solenoid for $30 I have ordered it and will post if it works incase anybody else runs into this issue.

I have a pe8000 and my solenoid went out, too. MM sent me the heavy-duty looking solenoids (6-lug) that they used to use in the pe8000's. They were the wrong part for my winch. The solenoid used in my box is almosy solid-state in appearance. Just a smooth black box with lugs hanging off of it. Anyway, I sent the others back to MM and they sent me the right solenoid thru 4WP.

FWIW- both solenoids list for the same price. I spent $83 (with shipping) on 2solenoids. MM sent me a shipping label for the returned solenoids, which was pretty cool of them.

I got the solenoid that I ordered and it happened to be the exact same solenoid that I was replacing it bolted right in. This is the ebay store that I ordered it from if anybody ever needs one. http://stores.ebay.com/Oklahoma-Star...ternator-Parts

The part title is: WINCH MOTOR INDUSTRIAL MARINE SOLENOID 12 VOLT 6 TERM.
