"Low range Offroad" brand 3rd members?
Anyone have feedback on Low Range Offroad 3rd members?
$1399 for a V6 ARB-loaded 3rd member seems like a smoking deal.
$1300 for a 4 cylinder 3rd
Wondering if they're high quality too. Not a lot on Google. That can be good.
I've been told the only real difference between the 4cyl and 6 cyl 3rds is pinion depth, excluding the stock carriers (more pinion gears in 6 cyl, but that's not relevant with an ARB) and a 4 cylinder 3rd will be cheaper but just about as stout?
I have a turbo 4 now, so effectively the same as the V6 3rds (right?).

That includes 4.88s, just a couple $$ more for 5.29s.
Do I need an ARB? I'd get a limited slip/locker combo if I could, but ARB is as close as it gets (or eLocker)
LS for pavement, locker for offroad.
I might get by with an Aussie or Detroit, but the last Detroit I had in my 88 K5 Blazer on one ton running gear made big sweepers more exciting than I liked.
- gas off, turn more!
- gas on, turn less!!
I'm in San Diego and it's all hills and curves on the way to trails, and this truck needs good street manners.

Yep, they're just a TG dealer. I've been down to their "shop". Right now, there isn't much too it seeing as they haven't been around too long. They apparently have plans to expand and maybe do some custom fab, but as of right now, they're just a dealer.

So I've had a couple places tell me the 8" 4 cylinder 3rd member, once you stick new gears and an ARB is as strong as the V6 3rd with the same parts, and I don't need to spend the extra $$.
For $100 difference, if it's $100 I don't have to spend, great. Is it worth the $$ to get the V6 3rd assuming all internals are new and with an ARB?

its worth the money v6 third members are stronger than 4 cyl 3rd members they are bigger and ribbed more and yes the turbo 4cyl does have the same third member as a v6 but i would tell you too look at addicted offroads website they have lower prices and good parts and a better mix match of what you need
