Looking for front tube bumper!
#1
Would anyone know where to get a front tube bumper, in Canada since this website would like almost as much for shipping as the cost of the bumper. The style Im looking for is in the link below! Thanks a bunch in advance!

p.s. While Im at it, Id like some personal opinions on how far I should go with my 1992 3.0L 4Runner. I believe its worth it to me, I'd just like personal experiences and opinions. I've put about $1,000 of parts into it (putting me at $3000 from purchase to today) as general repair and maintenance and I love the thing to death especially for off-road.( I currently use it as a daily driver, about 1 hour of highway driving a day) But as for doing a restore on the body, (rockers, front fenders and rear fenders) and a possible engine swap or rebuild, Is it worth going on or better to cut my losses once she lets go? (Its got 363,000 km- uses a small amount of oil between changes and I fear a head gasket may be imminent, although she runs great and the oil is only a dark brown after 5000km. Thanks for the help!

I can't help with your bumper. But you answered your own question. If its worth it to you, go for it. Keep in mind doing a so-so job will only last a year or two before it starts showing rust again. If your going to do it, do it right.

Where abouts in Canada are you. That will make a big difference in the costs you are talking about. It might be more to make and ship something from one coast to another then use a different shipping company with the original builder.
I am in BC and trying to work with a welder to start building stuff like bumpers and intakes. Exhaust manifolds and even rock sliders. The main issue is making one that works without applying it to a vehicle in person.

Thanks guys! And Im in Saskatchewan, my dad happens to be a welder, its just the bending of pipe and exact dimensions Im worried about, I figured for a good price I'd be lazy, but I may be just building it with him :3
As for doing it right, there wont be any bondo work for anything thats more then just a rust spot from chipped paint. Meaning at this point any rust I fix will be a new fender, with bed liner on the inside of the panel and good paint on the outside (y) I love the thing minus my fuel gauge which seems need the most maintenance

When I was in Edmonton (90-97), I bought a Grizzly tube bumper from 'Tonka Toy' on the south side. It lasted me about 10 years but finally bit the dust with all the rust coming from the inside out. That I'm sure because I spent the last 7 years of it's life in Ontario.
