what do you recommend? I am new to 4 wheel drive suspensions...all of my modding skills are with volkswagens(last car i owned was a jetta and i replaced everthing myself...from engines to the entire suspension). This is my first 4 wheel drive that i have been able to play with. I have a little bit of sag in my rear end. I want to keep it a strong as possible(i don't know why, i don't haul anything) bit i want the rear to sit just a little higher...oh and are they hard to replace...they don't look to difficult...thanks

 

If you are happy with the ride and you don't carry a lot of heavy cargo, then the shackle is easy to add. Only requires removing the shackles from the rear of the springs and putting the new ones on:

An add-a-leaf will stiffen the springs a bit, giving a firmer ride and more cargo capacity without bottoming out. They will be a bit more work to install, as the u-bolts need to come off, etc.:

Just avoind "cheap" AALs that are short and thick. They are STIFF and so stiff in fact that they can force your existing springs to bend around the stiff ends of the AAL and cause them to kink and even break there.

 

If you tow anything, ever or have alot of cargo, I would go with AAL instead, to be honest, I didn't even notice the change in the ride, it made a difference in cornering, but any lift will do that. its nice having it a little stiffer when off road anyways.
