Ok, I decided that on my budget and with my needs I should get an autolocker in the rear and leave my front open for now.

That being said I have a few questions.

What is a lunchbox locker??? Do you guys call lockers that don't require a ring and pinion job a lunchbox???

Although I understand that an auto locker will have some quirks, I want to find the softest and most well mannered of the bunch.

I am trying to decide between the detroit softlocker and the Aussie. Aussie claims thiers is super soft and has relatively no backlash. Does anyone have experience with the Aussie?

Your correct-

A lunch box locker replaces the internals of a stock carrier, and requires no r/p setup. Get a Loc-right or Aussie.

 

I have the Detroit EZ locker and it works great. If you take it easy on cornering and accelerations you will have no problems. I was looking into the LocRite but went El cheapo and got the Det. EZL for $190, Isnt the LR around $300 or 400?

Is there any disadvantage to a lunchbox vs. a non lunchbox fulltime locker?

I just want my truck to behave when my girlfriend steals it. She already bitches about the lift and the stiff ride. But the sad truth is that her happiness with my truck aids in the process of me spending more money on it. hehehehe

It sounds liek I'm leaning toward the Aussie, but if for some reason the soft locker would be nicer....I would spend a little more for it.
