leaf verses link versus coil
I have a 94 4runner 4x4 v6 5spd. I am in the process of building a desert runner. I am going to use the total chaos lt kit. what I want is something to compliment the front suspension. what I don't know is if the coil system will keep up, or should I switch over to a leaf system or even a 3 or 4 link system. I am leaning towards to leave system because I would rather not cut into the cab just yet. any advice, opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The best way if you are building a prerunner type truck is to go with a link suspension and then you would have to cut into the cab for your shocks, that will give you the most suspension travel.
If you do go with leafs, I would do a spring under system like what the 2wd pickups have as that will give you better suspension travel then SOA.

i think you will want to go with a leaf spring setup, either deaver or 63" chevy springs.
the guys at chaos can hook you up with info better than me.

i plan on doing something like this taco when i do my rear suspension.
i will brace differently to minimize the bed intrusion as i have to have my bed for truck duties. total chaos up front = sweet...
