Leaf springs?

Leaf springs?

anybody ever try putting a 64 inch chevy leaf spring on a toyota? heard about it on another forum and was wondering if someone here has done it before to gain some extra travel?

it's pretty common, but there's a lot better springs swaps. chevy springs are looooong, and generally you have to run a very long shackle with them. a lot of people call them rock anchors.

i had them on my 84 4runner that i just sold and loved them. they flexed very well but they were a little long and if i had to do it again i would probably give the 54" ford 2wd springs a shot just to be a little different.

i know there are long and i would plan on using a longer shackle too, that way i could get more travel.
