Might help if you give more info, ARB makes bumpers for dozens of vehicles and they're all different. Or you could call them...

What difficulty are you having? From the ones I have seen, you remove the old bumper and put on the new bumper. I think the winch needs to go in with the bumper off. 4 bolts in the base of the winch, hook up the fairlead and wiring and you are set. I wrote up my (not ARB) bumper/winch install (I had no instructions and even had to fab my own bumper brackets):

I used the holes for mounting lights. I just assumed thats what they were for.

If I understand you correctly, you passed the threaded stud on the bottom of your light through the HOLE and then threaded a nut and a big fender washer on the underside of the bumper, right?

Or did you thread the light directly into one of the two gold inserts which would mean you didn't have to use a nut or washer b/c the gold insert is female threaded already.

Actually I too some plate (1"x3") and mounted my lights to that. Then I drilled holes in the location of the gold inserts. It was necessary for me to do this because my winch is less than a quarter of an inch from the top. Here is a pic.

This is before I mounted the lights. Its not very good, but you can see that it is a tight fit.

Your parts kit should have come with a couple diamond shaped black steel plates that bolt to those, and have a hole in the center for the light to bolt to.

Thanks shane,

I found the steel plates you mentioned. Why didn't ARB just drill a smaller hole in the bumper?? Seems like a waste to bolt a plate on just to provide a smaller mounting hole . Looks like I'm going to have to go without the plate b/c my PIAA 80 pros hit the top bar of the bumper with it in place.

As was previously mentioned, bolt clearance for the winch. Makes it much easier to install lights with a winch already installed as well. The hole underneath is larger in order to clear a nut.

A-ha. I missed that in your previous post. :pat: Now that I have test fit the winch in the bumper I see what you mean.
