I'm having a lot of problems with my milemarker

I have the hydraulic milemarker 10,500. It has almost no pulling power the speed of it seems normal. Also I can't get it to work in low gear. just wondering if anyone else has had many problems or knows how to fix this.

I swear I have read on many a forum that the Milemarker hydraulic is useless with Toyotas.

I read that the Toyota power steering pump does not have the pressure required to run it.

I could be mistaken, but it seems I have read that more than once.

Good reason to go with an electric one too is if your engine is hydrolocked in a body of water.
No engine/no hydraulic winch.

I have a buddy with a o3 tacoma with the same winch. He bought his truck with his on it, and helped me put mine on. His works pretty good and I was kinda wondering if I have put it on wrong or what. I will probably contact milemarker but I have already had to repair part of the winch with them. Basically since Ive had the winch it has never really been fully operational.

I was so pissed when I was stuck and trying to use it and someone goes "its just for decoration" If he wasnt a friend I would have jacked him in the mouth but i really am starting to feel like my 750 dollar winch is a 75 lb paper weight.

Congratulations on showing why most people run Warn electrics.

PSC makes a pump, it is going to be spendy but worth it to make the rest of what you have work.

You, guys, are not very helpful here. Whatever that winch is, instead of giving useful advice most of the posts here basically say "haha, I told ya electric Warn is better".

If the winch is installed correctly, with the correct adapters - check the power steering pump and possibly consider a high-output pump to replace the stock one with.

sorry that we are all not a nice as you...

basically from what i know the only solution to your problem is to run a different power steering pump...and since you already have invested 750 in the winch, your prolly better off getting the pump then buying a whole new winch...

Did you see the rest of the post?

Get a PSC pump. They have a kit to put essentially an upgraded GM pump on that people usually run for assit or full hydro. I run one, but it is for assist on a 3.4

We are being helpful, just read the posts.
