well worst part no one ever thinks about is the doors ,they have weather strippng ,but they got drain hole in the bottom ,so you cant really seal those up so it comes in from there and in past the door panels. so other than sealing up behind the door panels with something its virtually imposible ,just remove the carpet all togeather.

A lot of 3rd gen tacomas years 97 through 94 had water leaking issues. Mine did, and I solved the wet interior problems by ripping out all my carpet! Just metal interior for me, and I like it soooo much better than the soggy, smelly, mildewy carpet.
