front suspsension questions

i just got done with my build and i did a sas swap pushed the front end about 4" forward and after my shake down run i ran into a few problems with my front suspension. On my drivers side the piece of tubing cut the flange part of the bushing off which ended up leading to bump steer. Is there something i can do to fix this, i did notice when i installed the bushings the metal sleeve didnt go completely through the bushing to meet the shackle on each end. Could this also be from over tightening the shackles? also i noticed the on the passenger side the metal tubing started to do the same thing also the bolt looked like it was bent. im running a 5 1/2 shackle eye to eye, would a piece of metal between the shackles prevent this from happening? this is my first build so dont bash me to bad

Ideally your bushing sleeves should be about the same length as the bushings, so when you tighten the shackles they stop before crushing the bushing too much.

If you are over tightening the bushing, the shackles don't move too freely, which leads to a stiffer suspension and to the bushings cutting and/or tearing.
