Ebrake bracket

I know there has been many threads about ebrake brackets but I still have a few questions. I recently lifted my 97 2.5 inches. I tested my ebrake today and it barely works. I pull it up all the way and it will hardely brake the car. I guess I ??NEED?? to make the little ebrake bracket, or is something else wrong? If I do make the bracket, does it need to be really heafty steel or can I use some scrap aluminum that I have? Thanks!

On Schaefers website, it says that if you dont have a panhard drop bracket, your rear brakes will not work correctly. Could this be my problem?

Ok, well since no one is responding, I went ahead and made a bracket with my aluminum. Its almost 3/16" thick so I guess it is strong enough. I will put it on after the paint dries and I hope this solves the problem. I tried adjusting the cable, but no luck.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I have no clue what bracket you're talking about. Then again I don't have a 97 runner either...

Ah, ok. I don't see any reason why your aluminum version wouldn't work.
