Question Dual shackle inverting - need solutions

I am planning a double shackle setup with my chevys and have heard about the possibility of them inverting. If I use the stock chevy shackle with the small grooves which match the grooved on the spring will this prevent the inverting? Also if I make my own 6" eye to eye shackles instead of using the chevy shackle what will I need to do to prevent them from inverting? This would be a bad situation and I want to eliminate the possibility of this happening. Also has anyone had their shackles invert and how did you fix it and what damage was done before you realized it?

Check out www.4crawler.com
Roger has a trick on there that will keep the shackles from hyperextension.

Don't have those photos on my main web site (yet). I added a tab across the top of my double shackles to prevent inversion:

Shackles have been on the truck for a while now, but still have not finished the rest of the suspension to write up the changes. So far the upper shackle is still bolted to the frame, so no problems with inversion at all. Hopefully, once I get everything finished and tested out, I can release the bolts and see how they work, but for now it is much better than what I had before.

Anyone with input on whether the stock chevys with the ridges would be better than a smooth shackle? Also does 6" eye to eye sound about right for the length of the second shackle with 63" chevys?
