coil spacer help

I have these stupid coil spacers waiting to be put on. I have checked around town and most ppl want approx. 50-70 bucks an hr, for two hours to put these spacers on. I really don;t feel like paying this money but I guess if I have to I will. I was curious what is involved to put these into my 4runner. I've searched and search, lots of 'what is a coil spacer', but I can't seem to find any write ups for installing these. Any links would be nice or any info.
I saw one thing that said coil compressor and jacks and face mask. Sounded easy enough but was makin sure there wasn't another way. Thanks.

i have to be honest with you, with the questions you are asking, i would suggest you pay someone to do it.

all suspension is "basicly" the same. consist or shocks/struts, springs, sometimes control arms...etc.

but i don't know what your truck looks like (suspension wise) but should be a piece of cake for people who have modified suspension before. maybe find pictures of your truck and I can help you.

We're talking rears, right? Shouldn't be that hard, but I'm not sure how different a 2nd gen is. You shouldn't need coil compressors.

- Jack back of vehicle up really high with jack under center of rear axle.
- Place jack stands under frame.
- Disconnect shocks and remove wheels.
- Lower rear axle as far is it will go.
- Old coils fall out.
- Put in spacers and coils. (Having friend jump on rear drum durring install may be required.)
- Jack axle back up.
- Connect shocks and put wheels back on.
- Remove jackstands.
- Lower vehicle back down.
- Drink beer.

There's a write up in the tech section, plus a couple posts about it. Search for more than just spacers, search for coils, fj80, cruiser, etc.
