Are you planning on wheeling or will this be a street queen?
This was recently a TTORA carnage of the month and the guy had blocks in the rear. Not really the safest way to go:

I run blocks on mine, and haven't had a problem yet.... just make sure the blocks are secured and you have good u-bolts.

Properly installed blocks are not deadly, or dangerous. They can fail if you have cheap ones (like from pepboys or something) and I have seen that, but you really really have to kill those kinds for them to fail too. I knew a dodge that jumped a nice huge ramp.. then broke his 6" blocks... used bricks to get him back home.

Proper installation includes loctite red and retorquing (use a real torque wrench) after the first few hundred miles and then again after. This comes from experience with lowriders (shame ) I never had a rear come loose, use common sense and they are fine. BTW, the last set I had on a lowrider S-10 were from pepboys and they lasted almost 40k with no problems before I sold the truck. They were beat to death with the almost solid suspension on that truck. Just check and re-check and listen for any odd noises.

For the blocks, you likely need 4.75" long and either 2" wide:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...SteelLiftBlock
or if you want the width of your spring, a 2-3/8" wid block is available:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...ustomWidthShim
If you order the blocks with the pressed in center pins, you will not need longer center bolts, otherwise you can order a longer center bolts:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...ml#CenterBolts
For u-bolts, you will likely need u-bolts about 1" longer than what you have. The proper way to measure u-bolts is listed at:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...tml#References
Measure the u-bolts you currently have and then find some at an auto parts or 4x4 shop, or on-line. I use Rancho u-bolts and just look up the dimensions I need from their web site and order them on-line if I can't find them locally:
http://www.gorancho.com/
For e-brake lever extensions, see:
http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...rakeExtensions

The blocks and e-brake extensions shipped today. Should arrive before the weekend, not sure what your time frame is.

I guess the price of steel is getting to those as well. Last set I got was about $60 for a set of 4, but that was before the price of steel doubled last year.
