Best shocks for wheeling

I have a 81 Yota with rears up front with roughly 5in of total lift. What are the best long travel shocks to run, and the truck is not my dd so I don't care to much about ride quality?

Best Shocks to run?/

Maybe if you please tell us just what your run means??

It means so many different things to so many people.

To me it means throw the shocks on the floor and go home.

Thanks for the replies but I already bought shocks, I decided to go with the procomp 3000 series 14" front 12" rear. I live in Washington so I have all different kind of terrain to wheel. We'll see how these shocks work out.

Good luck with those. I had them a long time ago and could not wait to get them off. Made my truck ride like an empty dump truck going down stairs.

Isn't the lower the number the smother the ride is? Because I have skyjacker nitro 9000's on it and I absolutely hate them, horrible ride and the ones I got have no downward suspension travel.

Numbers are model numbers and dont mean anything when comparing brands.

I don`t think I have ever driven down a set of stairs.

It must be really interesting just how you ended up driving a empty dump truck down a set of stairs .

For grins, I think next time I'll spec out a set of monroe sensatrak shocks. Just to see. I don't drive fast off road anyways.

Felt like the suspension was solid mounted.
