Ball Joint Spacers?!?!

First post So ive got a 1993 pickup v6 5 speed. Id like some kinda small lift to fit 32's. Currently running 30's. gearing is 4.56.

So im thinking 2.5" ball joint spacers on the front and 3" lift blocks on the rear leafs. Trucks mainly for road us and the odd logging road/super light trail. Or would I be better to go with a body lift 3" or so??? Help me out haha. Im new to Toyotas, this is my first pickup. Loving it so far!!

The spacers/blocks seems to be a real good budget set up!

Thanks!

all you need to have to clear 32's is a hammer

A 2" bodylift would be plenty, but will not improve the suspension any. I went with 1.5" balljoint spacers up front and 6" marlin shackles in back for more flex. Longer shocks can help even more but are not needed. I have a 2" body lift also and can fit 33-35" tires

1.5" BJ spacer
2" block

That will clear a 33" tire that's mounted on a 8" wheel. You may have slight rub depending on your back spacing.

32x9.5s fit on my truck with no modifications. Your set up would be overkill for even 33s.

Hmmm alright. Ya I was thinking 32/10.5/15. Maybe even 33. Just thought it might have a better look with the small lift?

I clear 33's with 1.5 body lift and 1.5 ball joint spacers and what is called ZUK mod in the rear. I would not recommend going over 2'' body lift. Not worth it. Stretches stuff a little too much IMO. Also, I had 3'' body lift on when I rear ended a Chevy half ton doing only about 10mph in the snow, shoved the whole body back a little bit and the front clip pushed back a couple inches. Wish I had pics to explain, but I ended up winching it back and some of the body/frame mounts did line up with out a BFH. I cut the 3'' blocks in half and put them on instead.

I have spacers on my truck worked great, could get 33's in it if I did some hammering inside the fenders. But to do that need cash $$$$. Good luck

Mine fit 33's nicely sitting on stock suspension, but my fenders are also cut a little bit.

I'd rather have 33x10.50s than 32x11.5s. both fit stock height.

Ball Joint vs. Torsion Bars vs. CV Joints

I'm on a '90 XCab V6 with 33x12.5 locked front and rear. The current suspension is a 1.5" block in rear and cranked torsion bars in front. I would love a little more flex front and back without an SAS or starting to break CV joints. I've busted axle shafts, hubs, steering, etc but only one CV and like keeping it that way.

Thinking about 1.5 ball joints in front and lowering torsion a bit to get a little more flex. Wondering about angles on CV joints.

Also thinking about 6" shackles in rear with the stock springs and removing blocks.

Any thoughts? Is this worth it, or basically same ˟˟˟˟? Thanks!
