How would I correct the speedo ?
subtracting in my head will not work, Arizona has speed cameras EVERYWHERE...

Probably will fit, check the clearance around your existing tires with a block cut to the added witch and height. So, for example if you had a 29x9.50 tire now, make a little block 1" wide and 1" tall and run that over the tread face and see where if might hit the wheel well. Then see if raising things up ~1.5" would eliminate that interference. May need to adjust the torsion bars to achieve the desired height (higher or lower) after installing the spacers and to level the truck:

The best option for speedo recalibration with taller tires is to change the axle gearing to match the tire height. So existing-gear-ratio X 31/existing-tire-diameter = new-gear-ratio. Added benefit is you'll retain the current acceleration and gas mileage you now have. Second best is to hit up a speedometer shop and either get a recalibration gear box made (for a mechanical speedo) or Dakota Digital makes electronic speedo recalibration boxes. Or the speedometer itself can often be recalibrated at a speedo shop.

GPS devices have a screen or page that gives current data ( current position, altitude, current speed ). If you don't have one maybe get a used one. After changing tires sizes, it would be more accurate than your speedometer.

I rubbed really bad with the 31x10.5s even with 3.5" Spindles and 1.5" BJ Spacers in the front. Only after some trimming it all worked out.

I have a GPS, but GPS theft is big here. If they see a circular mark on your windshield (from the GPS mount), they smash the windows to look for a GPS. I hate phoenix

There are SPEED CAMERAS everywhere here. It's not a matter of talking to cops, it's a matter of getting tickets in the mail for $200. I hate Phoenix.

sorry for the thread jacking. I think I will just use my GPS for a while, without the windshield mount, I'm gonna velcro it in place of the incorrect speedo...solves both problems.
