I have read post after post without finding what I'm looking for. I am shopping for a 2" lift for my 2000 4Runner. I don't have any plans for heavy bumpers or heavy towing; a 20% increase in stiffness is about what I have in mind. My offroad travel includes a mix of low speed fireroads and light rock crawling. OME sounds like they make a great product, but 2.5-3" of lift is more than I want or need.

Opinions welcome.

 

The OME suspension components will only give you 1.5"-2" of lift in front and about 2"-2.5" in back which usually evens the ride height out. The ride is 100% better then stock and will perform much better off road or with a load in back. OME is the way to go for a 2" lift.

the PP lift will give you about 1.5 to 2.0" at the top end. my lift probably settled to about 1.5 over the past two years. The 32's added another 0.5", so in total, i'm at 2.0".

Good thing about the PP lift w/ the bilstiens is that the combination does a pretty good job of minimizing the "rebound" effect. on washboards though, you feel it. its not harsh, but its what you might expect from bilsteins and progressive rate springs.

The Tundra TRD coil thread is 29 pages long now; if I read it correctly a 2004 Tundra TRD 4WD coil with 2004 Tacoma TRD D-cab struts WITHOUT the spacer provide 1.5" lift. Is this setup preferred over the PP coils?
