Anybody else expriencing a water leak on their Tundra? It seems like it's coming through the fresh air intake and then leaking on to the passenger side floorboard.
If so how did you go about fixing it? The truck is out of warranty..2000 with 68K miles.

 

My money is on the windshield seal leaking. I had a windshield replaced in a car and 3 months later realized I had a soaked carpet on the passenger side. If you have had one replaced recently I would say that is definately your problem. Hope this helps.

Also keep in mind it could be a heater core, assuming they are in that area. I know they are placed in that area on other type vehicles.

 

Thanks for the recommendation guys. But, I actually had Toyota look at it and apparently this is a recurring problem with Tundra's and some Tacoma's. They actually have a TSB..had Toyota fix it, according to the TSB and the leak is back. So the truck is on it's way back today..

The problem is the fresh-air intake, inbetween the windsheild and the hood..apparently Toyota didn't design a big enough drain on the truck, so the reservoir slowly fills with water until it overflows on to the carpet. Oh well, it's the only problem I've had with the truck, so I guess I should feel lucky.

if you turn on the recycle button will that close the fresh air duct and stop water from leaking?thanksmike

 

anyway to stop water from leaking in on the passenger side of my tundra 2000

 

A plugged or pinched evaporator box drain tube will cause this too.
