vsc, trac off, and check engine light

vsc, trac off, and check engine light

We have a 2002 sequoia steadily approaching 100,000mi, and for the last hundred miles or so, the check engine light, vsc track, and trac off lights have all been on consistently. Any ideas?

I had the same thing happen to my wife's 02 Sequoia yesterday all three lights came on and stayed on (VSC, Trac off, Engine). I read on another site that if you unplug the battery for about 15minutes it should reset the lights therefore making them go off. I tried it and so far it worked. The only issue with that is that when you restart the the truck the idle is really off and unstable causing the engine not to stay on, I had to restart the truck at least 20 or more times and drive it around the block so that the computer relearn my driving behavior? anyhow, warning lights are off for now and the idle is stabilizing slowly.
Hope this easy fix helps others.

You probably have a faulty ABS ECU. Mine and many other Sequoia's I have worked on have needed and updated ABS ECU.

Low Brake fluid can turn the ABS light on as well.

Some 01 4Runners have the same symptoms when one of the O2 sensors goes bad. There's a TSB for those vehicles. Maybe check into TSB's for your Sequoia.
