No TRD S/C for 05 Sequoia... Ever

First let me say hello to everyone. It's been awhile since I was here.

I just spoke to someone about the 2005 Sequoia and asked when TRD was going to develop a SuperCharger for it.

I was told that TRD was not going to create one for the 2005 Sequoia... Ever.

They said it was because the engine in the 2005 Sequoia is going to have too short a life cycle due to the redesign in 2007, including the new 5.5 engine.

While this makes sense, and is in fact one of the things I was worried about when deciding on buying a new Sequoia it really does suck.

What options does someone with a 2005 really have for HP and performance mods?

I haven't bought the Sequoia yet so I have options... but what are they really?

Tow it with the new Dodge Ram with the Viper motor in it if you want it to go faster.

Seriously, maybe a filter and exhaust might be the only realistic way to make ponies short of nitrous.

I agree with sdastg1, 282 ponies of VVTi is nothing to be ashamed of!

I wish my Runner had another 100 ponies;an SC won't even bump the 3.4 up to that without some more mods.

IIRC, Toyota was not releasing the supercharger for the later 4.7's b/c the internals (pistons, rods) wouldn't hold up to that much boost.

I am hoping I can "live" with only having the stock engine and it "lowly" 282 HP.

Honestly, if I can't at least make my tires "bark" on command I feel the need for more power.
