New Tires On the Way

I have have been accused, and rightfully so, that I am incapable of leaving well enough alone.

I just could not take the stock BFG Rugged Trail tires for my rig. I have some BFG AT/KOs on order. They should be here in a few days. Discount Tire is giving me $200 trade for the Rugged Trails.

They had a Perelli AT for a quite a bit less and I struggled trying to decide but in the end I went with the BFGs. I also had a tough time deciding what size to get but finally went with a 275/70-16, a ittle wider and a little taller than the stock 265/70.

How many miles could you stand the RT's? I only lasted 15000 before giving up and going to the KO's. Way better! KO's do everything better than the RT's.

Hey Bigstew, let me know how they fit. That would be interesting to know as the damn edges on my truck are starting to feather off and I may be in the market soon for new tires (and yes alignment is correct, checked by two different dealers and myself).

Jim65wagon, I thought I was obsessive, not fanatical!

Mohamed, I hope the tires get here and are installed on Wednesday. From what I could find out the fit should be fine. But you never know for sure until they are installed. I will let you know.

Tires are now on. No fitment issues. I think they look good and should perform well also.

Dude...

The main concern I have is on full lock turn, wheither or not it will hit the fender flares, I have the TRD package on mine. Let me know, thanks!

There is room. The picture is at full lock. There is daylight all the way around. I have no concerns of the fender flair on my truck. Maybe the inner lip of the mud flap in a full lock when catching air. But then I would not do that!
