Loud Clanking

When I really crank the steering wheel my front CV's make a ton of noise. Does anybody know how to keep this from happening? I have learned not to turn the steering wheel all of the way but my wife can't seem to learn. Funny thing is, they don't make a sound until you jack the wheel all the way, so I don't think the joints are bad.

I really appreciate any help.

Don't worry, its not the CVs. It is the steering stops. They look like little bolts with black plastic heads. If you grease these the noise will go down a lot.

I've heard it called "toyota turn". Grease it, it will dissappear.

Me too and grease didn't help much. It's the lower ball joints on mine.
