can't get in my glove box

can't get in my glove box
heres the scoop my wife tried to open the glove box the other day and a mechanism in the handle broke, it is not locked, but i can move the handle all day and it will not open. anyone know how to get in this thing so i can get at my registration and replace my lock/handle?
