Greg and Pattis New Tundra
Hello again.
I haven't posted much in the past, but now that I have a new vehicle, I'll be posting quite a bit more.
My wife and I just bought a 2010 Tundra 4x4 extended cab standard bed truck. It's my first new vehicle...and have to say I'm SUPER thrilled with it! My wife Patti is too...
Previously I had a 91 4Runner 4x4 V6 SR5 which I bought in '03 and just sold yesterday...and a 78 GMC Sierra Classic 4x4 K2500 454 manual trans that I bought in 1983...and just sold 2 days ago. It was tough to see the GMC go, since I owned it for 26 years....but our new Tundra made it all better-

What?....No oil leaks?-

New truck/ Old truck-

We bought the Tundra from Gosch Toyota in Hemet CA, and had a very good experience with the salespeople there. No problems at all... very nice guys.
After leaving the dealer, I stopped in at Snap In Campers in Hemet and ordered an ARE shell and Bed Rug kit. I'll update the thread with pics when I get the shell....in a couple weeks.
So far, I love this truck. It's a night and day difference compared to my old vehicles. I'm impressed how powerful the engine is, and how comfortable and quiet the ride is.
It came with a cold weather package (good for us at 6400') and the tow package. I'll be towing a baja bug and manx type buggy which are well under the Tundras 8400 lb tow rating.
Someone's bound to ask...OTD for the Tundra was $29,900 (Total cost)
The ARE shell with options was $1800.
At this point I'm looking for a truck cover and seat covers, so if anyone has recommendations on where to buy those, please post up.

Yes...It's definitely nice having a reliable new truck....that rides super smooth. The new owners were very happy with my old vehicles considering how well I maintained them. I think I made a change for the good with this new Tundra.
Now I get to wait for the new shell, Bed Rug, rail system and alarm on order.
Thanks for the comments!
