My friend has an 07 Tundra. The diffs call for 85w90. Toyota sells the oil but for just the oil for both diffs cost ~$300. What are people using in their diffs? I know he can get 75w90 at the parts store. Can he use that? I don't see a problem. Thinner isn't bad but thicker is.

 

Has anyone changed their gear oil yet?

 

Any GL-5 should be just fine.





85-90 aint hard to find in my experience...
