My 40 on the road again!

Made my first drive with the cruiser after my front axle swap (79 front). I put on the large 4Runner calipers with the stock vented rotors. Good gosh, it has NEVER stopped this good.
Made the 20 mile drive to Costco to get my 33" BFG At's put on, but they were swamped yesterday. Ran great, stopped great, very happy.

Then went out and sighted in my shotgun with slugs (first time shooting slugs). 3" shell with a 1 ounce slug = Hella kick!!! Got it to a 4" group at 100 yards. This is to hunt a special area where a centerfire rifle may not be safe to use.

NOTE: a shotgun slug is not the little slimey thing in your garden

Good to hear it's back on the road. I'll hopefully have the front bumper welded up on mine tonight. Sounds like it's time to start planning the cantina run.

Congrats Dave, although I think you went off-topic on your own thread with the shotgun thing! Not much progress on mine- that axle is still sitting on the floor of my garage.

Wahhoo! The trails will never be safe again! Many congrats on getting it back on the road.

(and you are too old to be using words like "Hella". That's kid's talk.)

I'm sure he's feeling like a kid with a new toy though.

...and grinning from ear to ear. I can't blame him But "Hella"? That sounds like a 15 year old from Lake Stevens, not the Yoda we all know...

Stopped at Costco today. Got the BFG AT 33's mounted up. They are like far out lookin. (The "hella" is from working at Metro with 20 sumpthin fellow employees. I am old enough to be their dad.)

Took longer cause all the kids in the service bay wanted to know what was in there.

When is fall colors? Drove the Yoda to work today. Hubs seem to be too warm, got to watch them. I'll try to get pix tomorrow
