click and engine revs when turn wheel

Hi all... This is a great forum and I am hoping for a little bit of your expertise and assistance. I have a 2017 Tacoma access cab TRD Off Road 4x4. I would appreciate your comments on the following: When I turn the wheel left or right, with the hood open and the engine running, I hear this click and the engine revs. Perhaps its normal or possibly associated with a power steering pump or relay that is activated when I turn the wheel. What do you all think this could be or not be the problem. The forum has more expertise than I do. I am at a loss as to if this is normal or if I have some kind of problem.

That sounds like new tech being new tech. I don't want to own anything built after 2004 because of that weird crap.
Anyways, if it's not causing a malfunction or leaking fluid, it's probably okay.
