Looks good. I like your method for the rear. I wish I could get drop spindles.

I've decided agaist lowering because I refuse to do it unsafely and drop blocks/remove a leaf fall under that category. Though I am considering one inch blocks just to level it.

They dont make them for mine. It's too old. I have seen people take the spindles and flip them over and trade sides. It would lower it a few inches but I dont know how it would effect steering and stuff. Could be dangerous.

Yes I do but the only safe way to do the rear is sandbags or linked suspention. And sandbags make my milage go down.

Why can't you just use 2" blocks? That's what I'm doing with mine

Its simply, cheap, and effective.

I like to drop the clutch at stop lights. Worried about axle wrap and my springs. I hammer on this truck and suspension problems are last thing I need. lol

traction bar:

that may be for a 4wd, but something similar could be fabbed for a lowered 2wd.

Yes traction bar would work. But it kinda takes the cheapness out of blocks. I may look into it.

could also go with trailing arms welded to the axle and airbags for the 'spring'.

I remember watching an episode of Street Customs I think? The West Coast Customs show. Jesse James was having one of his Chevys bagged. He described the Chevy as a booger. Like you try to get rid of but no matter how hard you flick it its still hangs on. This truck is that booger to me. I've tried to sell it like 4 times. Never sells. My plans have always been that if this booger hangs on long enough its getting a full bag and body drop.

Here is a prime example of what I want this thing to look like. Probably my favorite lowered truck in the world.

that is a sweet truck... but i never would lower it that much

my ideal truck would be lowered as far down as the suspension would allow, without using airbags...

You can go as low as the top picture without airbags. lol. Or you could use hydros (they are not airbags lol)

ya, but then, i would figure, you get a crappy ride. with limited suspension movement. I want to be able to at least go over a speedbump or up a driveway without worries

ive read up on drop spindles, and they sound fine, and i would refer to them as the anti-BJ spacer

but as for the rear, what would be the easiest way to lower leafs? Reverse them to upside down and use blocks to adjust height? Or just remove leafs?
