your probably gonna have to snap the bolts to get them off and buy new nuts/bolts from the dealer.

Depends on if you order them from an OEM parts dealer online or your local dealership. Not too familiar with the 1st gen 2wd setup so can't help there. All I know is I had to break mine to get em off my 87.

BOLT, HEXAGON(FOR ANCHOR ARM ADJUSTING) 90101-12038 1978.08-1983.07 LN40, RN32, 34, 42, 44 $6.01 times 2
NUT, HEXAGON 90170-12004 $1.14 times 4

And if you need new seats (may or may not I didn't)
48173 SEAT, ANCHOR ARM ADJUSTER 48173-35010 1978.08-1983.07 LN40, RN32, 34, 42, 44 $4.45 times 4

keep in mind, those bars are nothing to play with. You don't want your hands anywhere near those bolts.

This is what happened when I snapped mine off. I had the truck still sitting on its tires when I broke mine. Luckily my head was nowhere near the frame.

This will tell you how far one side comes down when the bolts are completely out.

Is your truck an 83 model? Or am I reading this wrong. If it is....shouldn't it have a sfa.

his is an 83 but this is in the 2wd section. So it wouldn't have a SFA.
