ok .. so , started on the rear shield .. got out my TEMPLATE and fit it into place .. I'm still waiting for the tinted lexan .

also got the new ORIGINAL lock assembly in today

bolted up the hinges , and BRAND NEW buttons and lock ..

also mounted the "Ketch" assembly ..

and an interior view ..

The list is shrinking rapidly .. ALMOST done .. 4 more idems to attend to , and then crate and ship ..

so just a few little things to finish up ..
Rear "template" removed , focus on the frame .

4 more on the " TO DO" list !!

I got one more scrached off today

on the original frame .. there is a felt between the frame and glass .. I suspect it's to silence any rattles or scratching on the rear shield . The old stuff was brittle , crusty , and old .. so I replaced it .

a clean frame

The new felt

and installed

it's a real close up .. so dont mind the edges .. you'll never see them ..

here we go ..
almost my LAST post on this thread ...

Weatherstrip is now installed ..

rubber mallet makes it easy , fits real nice , and should do the job .

also , rear shield came in .. not lexan , but Makrolon .
http://www.makrolon.com
it's tougher , more flexable , and just a better product ..
so I was able to cut it out .. and start to fit .

attached the hinges ..

removed the OLD chink

and put in NEW

top and bottom

..

and I'm now ... officially DONE !!!

need to crate and ship .

.

yep .. seal seems to be "the ticket"

makrolon also seem to be the "product of choice" these days .. I'm not sure it's what I want though .. I have a feeling I'm going to spend the coinage , and get safty glass made .. I have been talking to a manufacture , and they can do it ... I might even have a "heated" option avaliable .. we'll see .

started to crate it up today ... so amost done .
