I hate to be the one to break the news, but shocks, don't controll anything. Shocks are made for dapening whether used in a standard configuration, or mounted sideways like a stabelizer. IMO You wasted your money. You could have bought a antiwrap bar to do the job correctly for what ya spent on that setup.
your exactly right .. it will dampen/control the spring wrap .. it wont be "harsh" like a traction bar .. personally , I like that better.
I ran them for 12 years on my old rig , and they worked just fine .. so I know I didnt "waste" any money . but hey , everyone has an opinion , and there all welcome .
I get massive amounts of spring wrap which im trying to fix. Ive been thinking of AAL to cure it but i want to see if this idea works. Anyways keep up the good work and maybe ill see this Trekker one day

Anti-wrap half leaf is the best means of control, short of fabricating a torque rod (which would be the absolute best). Half a leaf (fairly stiff), top of pack, extending from the u-bolt plate forward almost to the front spring hanger, held at the front by a spring clamp available from any NAPA etc.
dropped the engine back in place , and started on the transmission .. and clutch .
blasted the fork to check for cracks and such .. , and then zinc'd
on this swap , you will need to use the 3.0L throwout bearing ..
greased the fork , and inner bearing surface , and installed .
installed the pilot bearing ..
the 3.4L clutch installed ..
with these kits you get a "goofy" plastic alignment tool .. but I like to use my own .. an original input shaft .
and finally the tranny back in place ..
also mounted the starter ..
on the bottom mount of the 3.0L belhousing .. it is threaded .. so is the starter .. you I had to drill the threads on the starter so the bolt would go threw
re & re'd the ATM wire harness , for the MTM harness ..
also installed the front shaft .. had to remove the transfer flange because it has 10mm GRD11 studs , and stock 83 is 8mm .. so same as the rear shaft , I had to drill .
also mounted the front of the exhaust again , to get ready to build the rear ehaust pipes , and muffler ..
also fully mounted the fuel tank , and installed senders , and pump for good ..
Dam, another reason I love this site, the BUILDS! Looks like your doing an amazing job, I especially love all the rust-proofing, as I know what salt does to metal. I envy all your skill and care in your work, this is gonna be one awesome Toyota.
wow, i love all the work your doing. I have the 22re out of my 94 pickup and im going to paint the chassis and rebuild the motor. Im debating whether to use the por15 or the rustoleum. That por15 stuff isnt cheap, how much paint did you use to paint the chassis? Also, have any experience with the rustoleum?
Love the build, i cant wait to see it finished =]
