wow, i love all the work your doing. I have the 22re out of my 94 pickup and im going to paint the chassis and rebuild the motor. Im debating whether to use the por15 or the rustoleum. That por15 stuff isnt cheap, how much paint did you use to paint the chassis? Also, have any experience with the rustoleum?
Love the build, i cant wait to see it finished =]
Thanks .. I love this build too , and hell !!! i'm doin' it !!
I have heard good and bad about the POR-15 .. and I hope it all comes down to "prep"
(I have done there prep "overkill" as per there instructions)
I have used it twice now .. and on the second (mine) .. I will let you know in about 10 years (I HOPE) .. 1ST is 5 years now and still going strong ..
that being said .. there are a bunch of other products avaliable , all depends on your budget ?
so as promiced .. the complete wire harness ... i'll bet this sucker weighs in @ 50lbs !!!
dont know what i'll be using .. but I wanted it in one piece ..
same here .. I know I will be using the booster , and brake master for sure .. but the rest , well ........ we will see .
and finally the front clip stripped .. and off to the recycler
wow... awesome job so far! i wish i had the smarts to do somethin like that!! cant wait to see the finished product. looks like its a ll comin together

no problem ... gotta go with what ya know .. and yes , I will be cutting about 40 LBS out of it ...
so finally finished the harness , and set it aside for now .. I know I have more to cut out .. but dont want to do it just yet , as I'm hopeing to incorporate the systems into the Trekker . I also need to get some more pieces from Daren (White Valley Collision) , as there missing from the original purchace .
and what I have cut out so far ..
I didnt weigh it , but I should have .....
I'm now ready to put on the cab .. then I can route the wiring some what , and fire this baby up .. ;D ;D ;D
but to do that , I now have to tear apart the original Trekker body ..
Nice work! This is going to be the nicest Trekker on the planet!
Perhaps I missed it, but are you doing anything to the inside of the frame (to prevent it from rusting from the inside out)?
Thanks ......
yep , inside was extensivly cleaned , and prepped .. and then using my "special" wands , I POR-15'd the inside as well , you'll either just have to believe me , or go back and read some more ...............
