I hated the stock springs. IMO they can not be lifted without major side affects. Blocks, shackles, or even AAL's. And even when their not lifted they allow mass wheel hop and axle wrap, being a overload leaf dependent spring as they are their pretty much nothing you can do about it. But depending on your needs, the stock springs can be just fine with the air bags.

I assumed 4wd? Also what year is it? I know the earlier tacos had shorter springs, and were more prone to snapping leafs.

Update:

Recently had the transmission rebuild. Even after the tom woods ds seemed to fix the vibes temporarily, the vibration became intermittant. I finally had enough, so i removed the trans and transfer case and took them to Amco for disassembly and inspection. The transfer case was fine, but the transmission was toast. Burnt and loose bearings and gear fragments inside. The truck has 210,000 miles on it, but still seems odd. Maybe the PO didn't change fluid often enough or ran it low, or maybe just defective parts inside. Anyways its all new now, and smooooooth, even shifts nice.

Little Update. Just got the trial gear rear bumper installed and welded on my rock sliders over the weekend.





Got to give trail gear a thumbs up on these, real solid, and a perfect fit for the truck. I am extremely busy with work right now, and simply didn't have the time to
build my own even though I've done it before and have all the tools. For the price of these pre built rock bars and bumper's compared to the time saved, I couldn't say no.
Plus it kinda nice getting a ups delivery like this, and just simply welding them on the truck, and spraying some paint of coarse.
