Head light went out so instead of spending $50 on silver stars I ordered some DDM tuning HID's for $45 shipped.

Silver star on right and HID on left

And how do you like them? No more high beam?

I like them much better than the silver stars halogens I had. I decided not to Order the hi beams because I had heard there wasn't much of a difference and I already had plans to buy some HID offroad/spot/driving lights so I figure I can use those as brights when I need them.

I've had issues with my DDM tuning kit since I got it. Same with BigJohn. We ordered them together. I constantly have to cycle the switch on-off until they finally light.

Have you had any issues where they won't ignite?

No issues at all. However you ordered the High/Low kit and I just ordered the Low. So maybe that has something to do with it? Anyway I hope you get it figured out either way.

Your runner is awesome man! I have a couple questions. First off the coilovers that you used I got on wheelers offroad website and looked at the sway-a-way and the camburg coilovers it sounds like you have ran both of them, out of the two which would you pick? Also Sway-a-way shows a 2" and 2.5" and the camburg only shows 2.5". Whats the difference between the 2" and 2.5". These both sound like they will perform better than the toytec coilovers i was thinking about.
Thanks for your help in advanced!
Wil

I've run the Tundra setup and really liked it. And I currently have the Camburg which I like a little more. But I've never used the sway away. The difference between the 2.0 and 2.5 from what I understand is simply the diameter and the larger diameter helps keep the fluid cool so it will perform better when being used a lot. But I honestly don't know that much about the coilovers. In my opinion the Toytec coilovers are a great choice and probably not going to preform much different than what I have.

What bulb type, color and wattage did you go with on your HID kit?

Thanks! I noticed you live in Frisco, CO. First trip to Colorado two years ago we stayed in Frisco and it was amazing.

Got the lights in and installed

Then went wheeling at Hogans Off Road Park

And at the top of the waterfall this happened. Looks like some rust between the teeth.

All fixed now and ready for the next trip.

Hard to tell in that pic but did you bust off some teeth? The glare from the flash makes it hard to tell exactly.

Yep! Got to the top of the waterfall and then just tried to move forward a little and that was all she wrote.

Photobucket killed the build thread goodies with their $400 if you want to keep 3rd party hosting fee. Many of us are revamping and repopulating our threads but I'm betting this one won't as the last OP post was something like 6 years ago.
