ADH8796's 1999 4Runner Build-Up Thread

Alright so the idea here is not to build a hardcore off road rig. My plan is to build something very similar to what I use to have (will post pics below). This will be my DD/weekend wheeler-camping rig.

Day I brought it home

After I took off the running boards

Weathertech floor liners installed

285/75/16 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's arrived

I had originally ordered Sway-A-Way 2.0 Coilovers for my front lift but after talking to wheelers offroad I was informed that order would be out of stock for 3 weeks. I wasn't willing to wait that long so I upgraded to Camburg Coilovers that should be arriving thursday 6/18/09. For my rear lift I ordered Old Man Emu 891 Coils and Old Man Emu N86C Comfort shocks. The lift will be installed this friday along with the MTZ's so I'll be updating pics as soon as it's all on.

When it's all said and done It will look a lot like this give or take a few things. Pics of my old rig:

Funny, mine has 155k now too. Why exactly did you get rid of the 1st one? I'm sure this one will be even better with the factory locker and all. I really liked your old one though, don't blame you for going back to one like it. Let me know when you're ready to get some dirt on it...

See that's the think after I sold the first one I found myself asking why I got rid of it. And since the guy that bought it drove it all the way to Cali I figure I figure if I can't buy it back I'll build another one. So here we are and the adventure begins. I'll be making plans for some moderate trail riding soon (got to test everything out once it's on).

i noticed on yer old rig you did some mods to the turn signals up front, howd you go about eliminating the original turn signals and im guessing you wired them to go up to the running lights? let me know bc i just bought a 2000 4runner and am working on getting a All-Pro tubular bumper on and need to do some research before hitting the garage
