Well the coilovers finally showed up so as soon as I got off work I went strait to the install. Took me a little under 4 hours to do the whole lift by my self (that includes adjusting the front coilovers to the correct ride hight). Anyway I'm very pleased with the outcome and look forward to getting some sliders and building bumpers.

i noticed on yer old rig you did some mods to the turn signals up front, howd you go about eliminating the original turn signals and im guessing you wired them to go up to the running lights? let me know bc i just bought a 2000 4runner and am working on getting a All-Pro tubular bumper on and need to do some research before hitting the garage

The bumpers main design was put together by bentup.com however they only made the bumper for a tacoma. The tacoma front end is quite a bit wider and mounting brackets are different so I had to do about 10 hours of fab work to build mounting brackets and move the bumper ends in about 1.5-2" on both sides. Only one ever put together on a 4runner that I know of.

So I just now found this thread.
Runner is looking sick dude, looks a lot like our old friend...Optimus was it???
Wanna know something kinda funny?
I went to Toyota NWA yesterday and almost traded the Taco for a 2000 4Runner, black, sport and e-locker...
I might still...not sure yet.
Two Runners...mmmmm.

Well if I get the '85 fixed up where I want it I'll either drive it or trailer it down there.
Having the '85, which is paid for, plus a 3rd gen that I'd owe only like $2k on - oh man.

Funny, mine has 155k now too. Why exactly did you get rid of the 1st one? I'm sure this one will be even better with the factory locker and all. I really liked your old one though, don't blame you for going back to one like it. Let me know when you're ready to get some dirt on it...

What size tires were on it when you bought it? Looks smaller than a 265.
I've got OME heavies on mine, and want to run 295s. However, I may need a 1" body lift as well.

I look forward to seeing your build I'm sure it will come along quite a bit quicker than mine. I'm mostly interested in the bumpers you will be building. Might be hitting you up to build me some if I like the way they come out
If you go 295's I'd say add a 1" body lift if you don't want to have rubbing issues. I rub with 2.5" of lift and 285's but it's so minor that I don't care.

275's actually but they were worn real bad and looked small.

So, you are running 285s with 1/4 spacer up front alone, right? Would the 295 require more of a spacer? Remember that I running OME heavies with stock A-Arms.
