I've noticed a lot of jeepers checking out my rig lately, now that I am lifted, and have a TJM and a winch. I still don't wave, or

AHHH!! Today I had a Jeeper give me the thumbs up, BUT I WAS IN the TJ The TJ is lower than some ricers Ive seen. Yet it waranted a thumbs up. BAH!!! So pathetic. I hate driving this thing around. Stupid zippers!

HOWEVER, this weekend while car shopping I rode around in the 4Runner. I got a "narley" hand wave (midle finger and rig finger closed, rest open...I think its thh Texas Long Horn sign too?) from a guy in a Land Rover Disco. I laughed and then almost cried. I also visited a Toy dealer and browsed around. While walking back to my 4Runner I found a mechanic underneath it checking things out. He ran off though when I asked him if he wanted to buy it ...wouldnt even start up a conversation

I saw a guy in my apt. complex checking out my vehicle, looking in the windows, etc. I thought he was casing it to bust into it. However, I ran into him a few days later, and he said he thought my vehicle kicked ass, so we chatted for a bit.

I hope not! He drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I think its just jealousy.

Funny unrelated note. I may have inadvertantly convinced some people never to buy a 4Runner. I'm always in my Apt. complex parking lot fiddling with stuff, have the hood open, etc. Numerous people have walked by and made comments like "Ain't you got that thing running yet?" and "what are you fixing this time." I've been unsuccessful of convincing them that nothing has ever broken on it, its always been upgrades. I'm tempted to tape a "before picture" on the back window so people can see what I've done.

I don't wave to Jeeps, I probably would if it wasn't for 90% of them being a-holes. Example, me and my buddy were coming back from ft.knox right after finishing primering my truck. He was driving and I was falling asleep. A Jeep passed us with their thumbs down and out the windows. My buddy doesn't even drive a truck and got mad about it. I only wave to toyotas because they are the only ones who understand.

Sorry, I hardly ever wave at other 4runners, I'm more the type of person who doesn't like people and the fads they create. You know the "I'm cool cause I have an SUV or truck," but don't scratch the paint, status symbol type thing, the ones that brought about a higher supply and demand. I could understand a little more if they actually used them, you know towing, offroading, rock crawling. If someone does wave at me I usually will wave back though.

I think the best feeling is to find these kids in stock 2nd gen runners, or even 3rd gen for that matter, that think they are hard@$$es, and drivin by with the subs turned up just a little louder than usual. I like the way they suddenly seem ashamed of their factory rides after they see my runner. I always give the one finger lift from the steering wheel when i see modded runners though.

i wave at most but the only nice runners is see being driven are by old ppl and they look at my car and think im a gangstar or drug dealer or somethin of that nature. speaking of which i found a nice 2nd gen with all sorts of goodies for off roading but with silver 22's on it kinda lame i think. i have some pics

also does anyone on this baord from colorado have a 3rd gen tan with limited flares lifted and all pimped out??i saw this one like 2 or 3 weeks ago by the cop station on university..... looked nice
