You all will hate me... exhaust question...

I did my searching and as a last resort I have to post. I saw a lot of posts about what exhaust sounds best but not many of the power increase. Just want a few suggestions on what exhaust system gives the most power increase (obviously more sound would be a plus too but I'm looking more for low-mid range power). Please post suggestions... I understand some will ask me to search. I have done that already so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

edit: Magnaflow systems come in 2.5 only right? Can anyone recommend a good place? I found a place that will sell a system for $399. Good deal? Bad deal? Where can I find better? Thanks!

basically any aftermarket exhuast will give you better performance....

there are so many variables that it is impossible to say brand X on your truck will give mroe power than brand Y, etc....

New exhaust...I did mine new all the way back.

LC Header w/ s/s pipe to a high flow cat...from there back is aluminized pipe to a Delta series 40 flowmaster...2.25" pipe...nice growl...turned down at the custom bumper.

I paid someone to put the header/cat on...(he said he should have charged me more as it was a PITA, but that is why I paid him ) and the whole kit and kaboodle was just under $800, but the response and sound are much improved. Definitely go aftermarket.

EDIT: $399 for from the muffler back is a bit steep IMO.

You can get a Magnaflow for $130ish. And yes they do make them in 2.25". Check out Corey's website. He's running a 2.25" last time I checked. He's got many sound clips of different mufflers.

Check my sig for what I'm running.

No exhaust! But i would say a magnaflow 14, or 18 with no tailpipe will net you the mose power.

Another option is the Jardine system, which has been praised by Dr. Z and others.
